Wireless alarms
Ajax wireless systems for finished, lived-in homes. No chasing, no redecorating, app control and instant alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →Burglar and intruder alarms for London homes, flats and businesses — from Victorian terraces and mansion-block flats to 1930s semis and high-street shops. Wireless or wired, new systems or upgrades of the alarm you already have. Surveyed in person, priced in writing, fitted and set up on your phone.
New systems, upgrades of old panels, takeovers of alarms other companies fitted, and servicing — for houses, flats, shops and offices. Every system is designed from a survey of the property, never from a fixed kit.

Ajax alarm systems →Texecom and Pyronix wired systems for renovations and new builds, cabled at first fix and installed at second fix.
Texecom alarms →Old panel, lost engineer code, or an alarm the last owner left behind? We keep sound wiring and sensors and replace the panel.
Alarm upgrades →Beeping keypads, false alarms, flat batteries and faulty detectors on Texecom, Pyronix, Visonic, Risco and other makes.
Alarm servicing →London's housing changes street by street, and so does the right alarm. A system is designed from the property's doors, windows, rooms and routes in — not picked from a kit — so the price you pay matches the protection you actually need.
Long, narrow houses with a front door, a back door or French doors to the garden, and often a side return or rear extension. Rear access along the gardens is the usual weak point.
Front and side access, long gardens and frequently a garage, loft conversion or garden office. A wireless system covers the house in a day, with outbuildings added on the same app.
Protecting a flat is about the front door and the rooms behind it. We fit compact wireless alarms run from your phone, and nothing goes on the outside of the building without the freeholder or managing agent's agreement.
Businesses need an alarm that reports to the owner's phone, sensible zones for stockrooms and offices, and opening and closing alerts. We design for the way the premises is actually used, with optional professional monitoring.
Planning: alarms and bell boxes on houses do not normally need planning permission, but listed buildings need consent before anything is fixed to them, and many London boroughs have conservation areas where it is sensible to check first. We advise at the survey.
Starting prices so you can budget. Your exact price comes from the survey and is fixed in writing before anything is booked.
Prices depend on the number of doors, windows and rooms. Anything that adds cost — an outbuilding, long cable runs, scaffolding — is flagged at the survey, never on the day. Monitoring and SIM connectivity are optional extras quoted separately.
We walk the property with you and check every door, window and approach before anything is priced.
Every device by make and model, the labour and the payment terms. Usually with you within 24 hours.
Dust sheets down, tidy cable routes, and every detector walk-tested before we leave.
App set up on your phones, everyone shown how to arm and disarm, and a completion certificate for your records.

A wireless Ajax alarm starts from £995 including VAT, a wired or hybrid system from £1,995 including VAT, and an upgrade that keeps your existing wired sensors from £495 + VAT. The final price depends on your doors, windows and rooms, and is fixed in writing after a free survey.
Nothing — they are two names for the same thing: a system of door contacts, motion detectors and sirens that detects someone entering your property and alerts you. Installers and insurers tend to say intruder alarm; most homeowners say burglar alarm.
Yes. Flats get a compact wireless system covering the front door and the rooms behind it, controlled from your phone. Anything fixed to the outside of the building, such as an external siren, needs the freeholder or managing agent's agreement first.
Yes. The systems we install send instant alerts to your phone and let you arm and disarm from anywhere. Professional monitoring by an alarm receiving centre is an optional extra, quoted separately.

If your home is finished and lived in, wireless is usually best: no chasing walls, no redecorating, and most homes are done in a day. If you are renovating, a wired system run at first fix before plastering is the better long-term choice, installed at second fix once decorating is done.
Usually, yes — including systems we did not install. Where the existing wiring and detectors prove sound we keep them and replace the panel and keypad, which costs far less than a new system and can add smartphone control.
A 12-month guarantee on our installation work, alongside the manufacturer's warranty on the equipment we supply. You also receive a completion certificate for your records.
