Wireless alarms
Ajax wireless systems for finished, lived-in homes. No chasing, no redecorating, app control and instant alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →From Edwardian family houses in Chiswick to interwar semis around Heston, Cranford and Feltham, Hounslow homes vary a great deal, and so should the alarm protecting them. We design each system around the layout, the doors and the way you live, survey it in person, price it in writing, then fit it and set it up on your phone.
New systems, upgrades of old panels, takeovers of alarms other companies fitted, and servicing — for houses, flats, shops and offices. Every system is designed from a survey of the property, never from a fixed kit.

Ajax alarm systems →Texecom and Pyronix wired systems for renovations and new builds, cabled at first fix and installed at second fix.
Texecom alarms →Old panel, lost engineer code, or an alarm the last owner left behind? We keep sound wiring and sensors and replace the panel.
Alarm upgrades →Beeping keypads, false alarms, flat batteries and faulty detectors on Texecom, Pyronix, Visonic, Risco and other makes.
Alarm servicing →Hounslow stretches from the riverside streets of Chiswick and Strand-on-the-Green out to the airport-side estates of Bedfont and Feltham. In between sit Isleworth's older cottages, the long semi-detached roads of Hounslow West and Heston, and a growing number of new flats around Brentford. Each type has different entry points and outbuildings, so the detector plan is drawn for the house, not copied from a kit list.
These roads are full of bay-fronted semis, many with a side return, a rear kitchen extension and a garage or converted outbuilding. A wireless system suits a finished home: contacts on the front, back and side doors, motion detection in each ground-floor room, and a separate detector or contact covering the garage where tools and bikes are kept.
Larger period homes around Turnham Green, Grove Park and Old Isleworth often have deep gardens, French doors and sash windows at ground level. Shock sensors on the accessible sashes give early warning before anyone is inside, and wireless detectors avoid disturbing original plasterwork, cornicing and picture rails.
Recent developments near Brentford Lock, the High Street and Hounslow town centre are mostly apartments with a single entrance door and a balcony. A compact wireless kit with a door contact and one or two detectors is usually enough, and nothing goes on the outside of the building unless the managing agent agrees.
Where a house is being gutted or extended, a wired system makes sense. Cables are run to every detector and keypad position at first fix, before plastering, and the panel and devices go in at second fix once decorating is finished. That keeps cable runs hidden and lets the alarm plan follow the new layout.
Parts of Chiswick, Isleworth and Brentford fall within conservation areas, and some properties are listed, so check with the council before fixing a bell box or anything else to the front of a listed building.
Starting prices so you can budget. Your exact price comes from the survey and is fixed in writing before anything is booked.
Prices depend on the number of doors, windows and rooms. Anything that adds cost — an outbuilding, long cable runs, scaffolding — is flagged at the survey, never on the day. Monitoring and SIM connectivity are optional extras quoted separately.
We walk the property with you and check every door, window and approach before anything is priced.
Every device by make and model, the labour and the payment terms. Usually with you within 24 hours.
Dust sheets down, tidy cable routes, and every detector walk-tested before we leave.
App set up on your phones, everyone shown how to arm and disarm, and a completion certificate for your records.
We install burglar alarms across the London Borough of Hounslow — postcodes TW3, TW4, TW5, TW7, TW8, TW13, TW14, W4 — and the neighbouring boroughs.
Tell us a little about the property and what's worrying you. We'll call back the same working day to book a time.
Usually, yes. Many semis in Heston, Hounslow West and Feltham have a garage, workshop or garden room. A wireless detector or door contact can be added as its own zone, so you can arm the outbuilding separately from the house at night. Range depends on distance and building materials, which we check during the survey and, if needed, solve with a signal repeater.
Aircraft noise does not affect a modern alarm. Motion detectors respond to body heat and movement rather than sound, and wireless devices use encrypted radio rather than anything that vibration would trouble. Shock sensors are set at a sensitivity that ignores normal traffic and window rattle but responds to a forced entry attempt.
Not always. If the existing wiring and detectors are in good order, we can take the system over by replacing the control panel and keypad, then reuse what still works. That gives you app control and phone alerts without lifting floorboards. Where detectors are faulty or obsolete, we replace only those and explain why in the written quote.
An alarm inside your own flat is generally fine, as wireless devices fix lightly to your walls and doors. Anything on the outside of the building, such as an external siren or bell box, needs the freeholder or managing agent's agreement first. Many flat owners rely on an internal siren and phone alerts instead, which needs no external fixings.
A wireless Ajax alarm starts from £995 including VAT, a wired or hybrid system from £1,995 including VAT, and upgrading an old panel while keeping your existing wired sensors from £495 + VAT. Your exact price depends on the number of doors, windows and rooms, and is fixed in writing after a free survey.
If your home is finished and lived in, wireless is usually best: no chasing walls, no redecorating, and most homes are done in a day. If you are renovating, a wired system run at first fix before plastering is the better long-term choice, installed at second fix once decorating is done.
Usually, yes — including systems we did not install. Where the existing wiring and detectors prove sound we keep them and replace the panel and keypad, which costs far less than a new system and can add smartphone control.
A 12-month guarantee on our installation work, alongside the manufacturer's warranty on the equipment we supply. You also receive a completion certificate for your records.
