Burglar alarms
Wireless or wired, Grade 2 systems from Ajax, Texecom and Pyronix, controlled from your phone with instant push alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →Alarms, cameras and video doorbells for Ruislip homes and businesses — from the 1930s streets of Ruislip Manor and South Ruislip to the older houses around the village, and the trade units off Victoria Road. Surveyed in person, priced in writing, fitted and set up on your phone.
Most Ruislip customers start with one thing — an old alarm that keeps going off, or a camera for the side passage — and end up wanting it all to work together. We design alarm, cameras and doorbell as one system on one app, and for businesses we add door entry and access control.
Wireless or wired, Grade 2 systems from Ajax, Texecom and Pyronix, controlled from your phone with instant push alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →4K cameras with full-colour night recording, person and vehicle detection, and 30+ days of footage kept at home — no subscription.
CCTV installation →Wired doorbells that see who's there, record deliveries, and can chime through your alarm sirens so you hear it upstairs.
Ask about doorbells →Old panel, lost engineer code, or a system the previous owner left behind? We keep the sound wiring and sensors and replace the brains.
Alarm upgrades →Ruislip grew up around the Metropolitan line in the 1920s and 30s, and much of HA4 is the classic Metroland semi. Around the old village there are older and larger houses, and South Ruislip has a busy commercial side. Each needs a different approach.
Front door, a side passage to the garden, and very often a single-storey rear extension or a loft conversion.
Older and bigger houses with larger gardens, garages and outbuildings, some close to the woods and the Lido.
If the house is decorated and you're living in it, we fit a wireless system. Detectors are battery powered, the panel talks over your broadband with a SIM as back-up, and a typical house is done in a day with nothing to make good afterwards.
Shops on the High Street and trade units around South Ruislip need cameras that capture faces and number plates, an alarm that reports to your phone, and often door entry or fob access for staff. We fit all of it and set up the signage and recording policy your data protection duties require.
Ruislip sits in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Parts of the old village are conservation areas — we keep external equipment discreet and will tell you at the survey if anything is worth checking with the council first.
Honest starting points so you can budget. Your actual price comes from the survey and is fixed in writing before anything is booked.
Installed, including VAT
Per system, plus VAT · standard 3-bed home with existing wired detectors
New alarm systems are priced after the survey because the device count depends on your doors, windows and layout. Anything that adds cost — a long run to a garden office, scaffolding, cable through finished walls — is flagged at the survey, never on the day.
We walk the house and garden with you, at a time that suits, and talk through what you actually want covered.
Every device by make and model, the labour, and the payment terms. Usually with you within 24 hours.
Dust sheets down, tidy cable routes, every detector walk-tested and every camera proved on screen.
Apps set up on your phones, everyone shown how to arm and view, and a completion certificate for your records.
From Ruislip Common down to South Ruislip and across to Ickenham, we cover all of HA4 and the neighbourhoods around it, from our base in Harrow.
Tell us a little about the house and what's worrying you. We'll call back the same working day to book a time.
It depends on the house. Replacing an old panel and keeping your existing wired sensors starts from £495 + VAT. A new system is priced from a free survey, because a Ruislip Manor semi needs far fewer devices than a large house near the Common. You get a fixed written quote before any work is booked.
Guide prices, installed and including VAT: two cameras from £695, four cameras from £1,095 and eight cameras from £1,895. Four cameras covers most Ruislip homes: front, side passage and rear garden. Anything that adds cost, such as a long run to an outbuilding or scaffolding, is flagged at the survey.
Yes. In a finished, occupied home we normally install a wireless system such as Ajax, so there is no chasing and no redecorating. Wired systems are best when you are renovating and the walls are open, installed as separate first and second fix visits.
Yes. We install CCTV, intruder alarms, door entry and access control for shops, workshops, trade units and offices across Ruislip, and set up the signage and recording policy your data protection duties require.
Usually, yes, including systems we did not install. Where the existing wiring and detectors prove sound we keep them and replace the panel and keypad, which is far cheaper than a new system.
Cameras and alarm bell boxes on a house do not normally need planning permission, but a listed building needs listed building consent before anything is fixed to it, and parts of the old village are conservation areas where it is sensible to check with Hillingdon Council first. We keep equipment discreet and can advise at the survey.
