Burglar alarms
Wireless or wired, Grade 2 systems from Ajax, Texecom and Pyronix, controlled from your phone with instant push alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →Security designed for Stanmore's larger homes: long drives, gates, garages and gardens that run a long way back. Alarms, cameras and gate intercoms, surveyed in person, priced in writing, fitted and set up on your phone.
On a bigger Stanmore property the pieces have to work together: the camera at the gate, the intercom that lets a delivery in, the alarm that covers the garage. We design them as one system, on one app, so you are not juggling four.
Wireless or wired, Grade 2 systems from Ajax, Texecom and Pyronix, controlled from your phone with instant push alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →4K cameras with full-colour night recording, person and vehicle detection, and 30+ days of footage kept at home — no subscription.
CCTV installation →IP video door entry at the gate or front door. See and talk to visitors from a screen indoors or your phone, wherever you are.
Ask about intercoms →Old panel, lost engineer code, or a system the previous owner left behind? We keep the sound wiring and sensors and replace the brains.
Alarm upgrades →Stanmore runs from 1930s streets around Canons Park and Belmont to some of the largest private houses in North West London on Stanmore Hill and around the common. The bigger the plot, the more ground there is to cover, and the more it matters that the system is designed rather than bought as a kit.
Gated drives, double garages, pool houses and gardens backing onto woodland. The approach to the house is as important as the house itself.
Front door, side access to the garden and, very often, a single-storey rear extension with a flat roof.
Plenty of newer Stanmore homes were cabled for an alarm during the build but left without one. We install and commission onto the existing cabling as a second fix: no new cable runs, no mess, and a fraction of the cost of starting again.
A video intercom at the gate lets you see and speak to visitors from inside the house or from your phone when you are away. It sits on the same network as your cameras, so the footage from the gate camera and the intercom tells one story.
Conservation areas and listed buildings: parts of Stanmore, including around Stanmore Hill and the Canons Park estate, are conservation areas. We keep external equipment discreet and will tell you at the survey if anything is worth checking with Harrow Council first.
Honest starting points so you can budget. Your actual price comes from the survey and is fixed in writing before anything is booked.
Installed, including VAT
Per system, plus VAT · standard 3-bed home with existing wired detectors
New alarm systems are priced after the survey because the device count depends on your doors, windows and layout. Anything that adds cost — a long run to the gate or an outbuilding, scaffolding, cable through finished walls — is flagged at the survey, never on the day.
We walk the house and garden with you, at a time that suits, and talk through what you actually want covered.
Every device by make and model, the labour, and the payment terms. Usually with you within 24 hours.
Dust sheets down, tidy cable routes, every detector walk-tested and every camera proved on screen.
Apps set up on your phones, everyone shown how to arm and view, and a completion certificate for your records.
Stanmore sits in the north of the London Borough of Harrow, between Harrow Weald and Edgware. We cover all of HA7 and the neighbourhoods around it, from our base in Harrow.
Tell us a little about the house and what's worrying you. We'll call back the same working day to book a time.
It depends on the house. Replacing an old panel and keeping your existing wired sensors starts from £495 + VAT. A new system is priced from a free survey, because a Canons Park semi needs far fewer devices than a detached house on Stanmore Hill with a double garage and a pool house. You get a fixed written quote before any work is booked.
Guide prices, installed and including VAT: two cameras from £695, four cameras from £1,095 and eight cameras from £1,895. Larger Stanmore plots with a long drive, gates and outbuildings usually sit in the eight-camera range. Anything that adds cost, such as a long run to the gate or scaffolding, is flagged at the survey.
Yes. Many newer homes are cabled for an alarm during the build but never have one fitted. We install and commission the system onto the existing cabling as a second fix, which is quicker and cheaper than starting from scratch.
Yes. For houses with gates or a long drive we fit IP video door entry, so you can see and speak to visitors at the gate from a screen indoors or from your phone. It can sit on the same network as your cameras.
Yes. In a finished, occupied home we normally install a wireless system such as Ajax, so there is no chasing and no redecorating. Wired systems are recommended when you are renovating and the walls are open, and are installed as separate first and second fix visits.
Parts of Stanmore, including around Stanmore Hill and the Canons Park estate, are conservation areas. Cameras and alarm bell boxes on a house do not normally need planning permission, but a listed building needs listed building consent before anything is fixed to it, and in a conservation area it is sensible to check with Harrow Council first. We keep equipment discreet and can advise at the survey.
