Wireless alarms
Ajax wireless systems for finished, lived-in homes. No chasing, no redecorating, app control and instant alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →Hackney's streets range from the Victorian terraces of Stoke Newington and Clapton to De Beauvoir's villas, warehouse conversions in Hackney Wick and a large stock of council and housing association flats. Each alarm is planned around how your home is really entered: surveyed in person, priced in writing, and fitted ready to run from your phone.
New systems, upgrades of old panels, takeovers of alarms other companies fitted, and servicing — for houses, flats, shops and offices. Every system is designed from a survey of the property, never from a fixed kit.

Ajax alarm systems →Texecom and Pyronix wired systems for renovations and new builds, cabled at first fix and installed at second fix.
Texecom alarms →Old panel, lost engineer code, or an alarm the last owner left behind? We keep sound wiring and sensors and replace the panel.
Alarm upgrades →Beeping keypads, false alarms, flat batteries and faulty detectors on Texecom, Pyronix, Visonic, Risco and other makes.
Alarm servicing →Much of Hackney's housing has been split, converted or extended. Many terraces are now two or three flats sharing a hallway, warehouses have become live/work units, and plenty of houses have kitchen extensions with flat roofs. That makes the boundary of your own property the first question in any alarm design, followed by which doors, windows and roofs actually give a way in.
A garden flat and an upper maisonette in the same terrace face very different risks. The garden flat has a rear door and windows at ground level; the upper flat's weak point is usually its own front door off a shared stair. A compact wireless system protects your part of the building without touching the communal hallway.
Houses still in single occupation often have a lower ground floor, a side-return extension and a flat roof below the back bedrooms. We cover every external door, put motion detection in each ground-floor room and include any first-floor room that can be reached from the extension roof.
Open-plan spaces with large windows, high ceilings and sometimes a workspace below the living area. Detectors are chosen and mounted for the ceiling height, and a live/work unit can be split so the studio is armed while you are upstairs. Steel and roller-shutter doors get heavy-duty contacts.
Small retail and hospitality units usually need an alarm that staff can set and unset with their own codes or fobs, so you can see who opened up and when. Shutters, rear fire exits and stockrooms are the main entry points. Alerts go to the owner's phone, and professional monitoring is available as an option.
Hackney has a large number of conservation areas, including De Beauvoir and Clapton Square, and if your building is listed you will need listed building consent before anything is fixed to it.
Starting prices so you can budget. Your exact price comes from the survey and is fixed in writing before anything is booked.
Prices depend on the number of doors, windows and rooms. Anything that adds cost — an outbuilding, long cable runs, scaffolding — is flagged at the survey, never on the day. Monitoring and SIM connectivity are optional extras quoted separately.
We walk the property with you and check every door, window and approach before anything is priced.
Every device by make and model, the labour and the payment terms. Usually with you within 24 hours.
Dust sheets down, tidy cable routes, and every detector walk-tested before we leave.
App set up on your phones, everyone shown how to arm and disarm, and a completion certificate for your records.
We install burglar alarms across the London Borough of Hackney — postcodes E2, E5, E8, E9, N1, N16 — and the neighbouring boroughs.
Tell us a little about the property and what's worrying you. We'll call back the same working day to book a time.
Inside your own flat, usually yes, provided your lease does not say otherwise. Detectors, contacts and the keypad all sit within the rooms you own. What you should not do is fit sirens, detectors or cables in the shared hallway or on the outside of the building without the freeholder's agreement, and the other leaseholders may need to be consulted too.
We split the system into two areas. The workspace can be armed on its own while the living area stays off, or the whole unit armed when you go out. Detectors suited to tall ceilings cover the open studio, and contacts go on loading or shutter doors. Each area shows separately in the app, so you know exactly where an alert came from.
It can be, because the roof puts the bedroom window within reach from the garden. We add a contact on that window and a motion detector in the room. Overnight, the window contact can stay armed while the detector is switched off, so the room is still protected while you are asleep in it.
Yes. Each person gets their own code, fob or app login, and every set and unset is logged with a name and time. Notifications arrive on your phone, and you can change or remove a user without visiting the shop, which is useful when staff change. Professional monitoring is available if the business needs it.
A wireless Ajax alarm starts from £995 including VAT, a wired or hybrid system from £1,995 including VAT, and upgrading an old panel while keeping your existing wired sensors from £495 + VAT. Your exact price depends on the number of doors, windows and rooms, and is fixed in writing after a free survey.
If your home is finished and lived in, wireless is usually best: no chasing walls, no redecorating, and most homes are done in a day. If you are renovating, a wired system run at first fix before plastering is the better long-term choice, installed at second fix once decorating is done.
Usually, yes — including systems we did not install. Where the existing wiring and detectors prove sound we keep them and replace the panel and keypad, which costs far less than a new system and can add smartphone control.
A 12-month guarantee on our installation work, alongside the manufacturer's warranty on the equipment we supply. You also receive a completion certificate for your records.
