Wireless alarms
Ajax wireless systems for finished, lived-in homes. No chasing, no redecorating, app control and instant alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →Tower Hamlets has Georgian houses in Spitalfields, Victorian terraces off Roman Road in Bow, converted warehouses in Wapping and Limehouse, and high-rise flats on the Isle of Dogs. Most homes are flats, so design starts with the front door and any balcony. Each system is surveyed in person, priced in writing, then fitted and set up on your phone.
New systems, upgrades of old panels, takeovers of alarms other companies fitted, and servicing — for houses, flats, shops and offices. Every system is designed from a survey of the property, never from a fixed kit.
Ajax wireless systems for finished, lived-in homes. No chasing, no redecorating, app control and instant alerts.
Ajax alarm systems →Texecom and Pyronix wired systems for renovations and new builds, cabled at first fix and installed at second fix.
Texecom alarms →Old panel, lost engineer code, or an alarm the last owner left behind? We keep sound wiring and sensors and replace the panel.
Alarm upgrades →Beeping keypads, false alarms, flat batteries and faulty detectors on Texecom, Pyronix, Visonic, Risco and other makes.
Alarm servicing →Tower Hamlets has one of the highest proportions of flats in London, from council blocks and housing association homes to warehouse lofts and new towers around Canary Wharf. Houses do exist, mostly Victorian terraces in Bow and Bethnal Green and older listed homes in Spitalfields. Leasehold rules, shared entrances and listed fabric all shape what can be fitted and where.
Higher-floor flats in managed buildings usually have one entry door and a concierge downstairs. A compact wireless alarm with a door contact, a detector in the living area and an internal siren is normally enough, and nothing is fixed outside the flat. Lower floors with balconies or podium terraces get extra contacts on those doors.
Warehouse conversions often have open-plan spaces with high ceilings, exposed brick and large original window openings. We choose detector positions that see the full room despite the height, and avoid fixing into exposed brickwork where possible. Ground-floor and riverside units with their own street or terrace doors need those covered too.
Two-storey terraces near Victoria Park and Roman Road usually have a rear yard or small garden, and sometimes a back extension. We cover each external door, every ground-floor room and any first-floor room reachable from the extension. If the house is being gutted and rebuilt, a wired system run at first fix is the better option.
The early eighteenth-century houses around Fournier Street are listed, so we keep equipment wireless, small and lightly fixed. Shops, restaurants and offices along Brick Lane, Commercial Street and Whitechapel Road need cover for shopfronts, rear doors and stockrooms, often with separate setting for upstairs offices.
Tower Hamlets has many conservation areas, including around Fournier Street and Brick Lane, and listed buildings may need listed building consent before anything, such as a siren box, is fixed to them.
Starting prices so you can budget. Your exact price comes from the survey and is fixed in writing before anything is booked.
Prices depend on the number of doors, windows and rooms. Anything that adds cost — an outbuilding, long cable runs, scaffolding — is flagged at the survey, never on the day. Monitoring and SIM connectivity are optional extras quoted separately.
We walk the property with you and check every door, window and approach before anything is priced.
Every device by make and model, the labour and the payment terms. Usually with you within 24 hours.
Dust sheets down, tidy cable routes, and every detector walk-tested before we leave.
App set up on your phones, everyone shown how to arm and disarm, and a completion certificate for your records.
We install burglar alarms across the London Borough of Tower Hamlets — postcodes E1, E1W, E2, E3, E14 — and the neighbouring boroughs.
Tell us a little about the property and what's worrying you. We'll call back the same working day to book a time.
Yes. The app shows whether the alarm is set, records who set and unset it, and sends an alert if a door opens while it is armed. You can give tenants their own user codes and remove them when they leave. Check the lease first, as some buildings have rules about fitting equipment.
They will if positioned correctly. Most detectors are designed for a set mounting height, so in tall rooms we fit them on walls at that height rather than near the ceiling, angled to see the floor area and entry points. We test walk-through coverage before handing over the system.
Usually, as long as nothing alters historic fabric. Wireless detectors can be fixed with minimal fixings into later joinery or placed on furniture, and the panel can sit in a cupboard. External sirens may need listed building consent, so we can rely on an internal siren and phone alerts until that is agreed.
They can share one panel with separate areas, so the restaurant is set at closing while the flat stays unset, or each can have its own system if they are let separately. We will ask how the building is occupied at survey, then design around who holds the keys to each part.
A wireless Ajax alarm starts from £995 including VAT, a wired or hybrid system from £1,995 including VAT, and upgrading an old panel while keeping your existing wired sensors from £495 + VAT. Your exact price depends on the number of doors, windows and rooms, and is fixed in writing after a free survey.
If your home is finished and lived in, wireless is usually best: no chasing walls, no redecorating, and most homes are done in a day. If you are renovating, a wired system run at first fix before plastering is the better long-term choice, installed at second fix once decorating is done.
Usually, yes — including systems we did not install. Where the existing wiring and detectors prove sound we keep them and replace the panel and keypad, which costs far less than a new system and can add smartphone control.
A 12-month guarantee on our installation work, alongside the manufacturer's warranty on the equipment we supply. You also receive a completion certificate for your records.
