Frequently asked questions

Can you replace our door entry system without rewiring the building?
Often, yes. Modern 2-wire audio and video door entry systems can run on the existing cabling in most blocks, so we replace the entrance panel and handsets without chasing new cables to every flat. We check the existing wiring at the survey and tell you honestly if any runs need replacing.
Can residents open the door from their phones?
Yes. Most of the video door entry systems we install offer an app, so residents can see and speak to visitors and open the door from their phone, as well as from the handset in the flat.
What happens when a resident loses a fob?
With fob access control the lost fob is deleted from the system and a new one issued. There is no need to change locks, and on cloud-managed systems this can be done remotely.
Can you quote in a format we can use for Section 20 consultation?
Yes. We provide itemised written quotes with a clear scope, which you can use for leaseholder consultation and to compare against other contractors.
Do you handle CCTV in communal areas with residents’ privacy in mind?
Yes. Cameras are positioned to cover entrances, bin and cycle stores, car parks and other communal areas, with privacy masking over windows and private spaces, sensible retention and signage.
Do you offer maintenance and repairs on systems we already have?
Yes. We fault-find and repair existing door entry, CCTV and access control, and can take over maintenance of systems fitted by other companies.
