No — the keypad is a wireless device that communicates with the Hub. If the Hub fails, the keypad won't work. However, the Hub itself runs without internet (local operation continues) so a broadband outage doesn't affect the keypad.
It has tamper detection on both wall-removal and case-open — try to remove or pry it and the alarm triggers immediately. The fixings are tamper-resistant. The keypad itself has no inherent value to a thief and stealing it doesn't disable the alarm system.
